Everyday I’m more thankful to God for His immense mercy and love. As God has given me this ministry, He is changing me day by day. I understand His word and what I’m supposed to do better. I have more wisdom, patience, and love, but I know that without God I wouldn’t have anything. I thank God for everything that He’s teaching me here at school.
I’m learning so much as I serve here, and the Lord renews my strength to continue forward. I see this every time the day ends, when work is done and I made it, I know God is the reason. This encourages me to continue to serve and remember my favorite verse, “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me”. I can’t and shouldn’t go back. God prepares me to continue, at the end of any ministry that God gives me in the earth and after that being with Him in heaven.

Hi, my name is Pilar and I have been here at the Bible College a little over a year now. I enjoy doing many things around the school, but my primary job is running the little campus store.
It is amazing to see how God is working on, in, and through the college. When my husband Leo and I came with a team from our home church back in 2007, we helped to put up the framework for the building that is used for chapel and classes. The only other buildings at the time were the little store and the dinning hall. At that time it was used as a home for the director and his family. Now there are 3 dorms, a chapel, computer lab, laundry room, store, dinning hall & workshop. And this month they began preparing the foundation for another dorm.

It is with very mixed emotions that I write this last update in this season of missionary service at CCBC Mexico. Many of you readers have walked with us through four years packed full with the most intense hardships as well as the most incredible victories we’ve ever experienced.
Without exaggeration we gave up everything we had and even put our very lives on the line for the sake of bringing to life a place where believers are rooted in God’s word and raised up by Him to reach the world for Christ.
And without exaggeration it was worth every bit of it!

They say we lack heroes today. I remember while growing up that there seemed to be plenty of people to look up to and pattern my life after. TV was different too and provided so many good heroes. I think at some point I got cynical and expected too much from my heroes. I set them up on pedestals and wanted them to be perfect. It doesn’t take long for a hero to disappoint you when you get to know them up close. I guess I just gave up.

Things are going great here in Mexico! Flu season is in full swing, but that's ok (not the swine flu, mind you). There's been a lot of stuff going on and God has continued to work here in Mexico.
